You can send Facebook Lead Ads submissions to Google Sheets without downloading a CSV every day or building a Zap. Start with a blank Google Sheet, share it with anyone who has the link, then connect your Facebook lead form in LeadSavvy Pro. LeadSavvy sets up the columns and sends your leads to the Sheet.
The useful result is simple: a new enquiry reaches your lead list, the right person gets an alert, and your team knows what to do next. This guide covers the actual LeadSavvy setup and the checks that keep the spreadsheet usable.
The quick setup
You do not need to work through all the detailed sections below to get started. For a straightforward connection, these steps are enough. A blank Sheet is the easiest option—there is no need to build the columns yourself.
- Create a blank Google Sheet. Click Share, set General access to Anyone with the link, choose Editor, and copy the Sheet URL.
- In LeadSavvy Pro, open Bridges and create a bridge. A bridge connects your lead form to its delivery settings.
- Select your connected Facebook account, Facebook Page and Lead Form.
- In Delivery, paste the URL into Destination Google Sheet URL. Leave the default export fields as they are; LeadSavvy sets up the columns for you.
- Set up any alerts you want, save the enabled bridge and check that a test lead reaches the Sheet.
Once your test lead arrives, you can stop here if that is all you need. The rest of this guide is optional help for custom layouts, several forms or troubleshooting. You can come back to it whenever you need it.
First, check which Facebook data you want
This connection collects people who submitted Facebook or Instagram Instant Forms: their contact details and form answers. It is not an Ads Manager reporting connector for spend, impressions, clicks or ROAS.
A search such as “Facebook ads to Google Sheets” can mean either job. If you need campaign performance reports, look for an advertising reporting integration. If you need names, phone numbers and enquiries for follow-up, this is the right workflow. Google Forms responses are another separate case; see our Google Forms and Sheets guide.
1. Prepare a spreadsheet you can keep using
For the simplest setup, use a blank Sheet and let LeadSavvy set up the columns. Give it a name your team recognises, such as “Quote enquiries”. You only need the layout details in this section if you want to customise the destination or understand how the export is arranged.
LeadSavvy's Sheets export starts with the original Lead ID and Submission time, followed by the form answers in the bridge's configured order. Headers label those positions; changing a header does not automatically remap the exported values.
For example, if your form fields are ordered Full name, Email, Phone number, Service required and Preferred timing, the sheet could look like this:
| Column | Header | Example value |
|---|---|---|
| A | Lead ID | Example lead identifier |
| B | Submission time | 2026-10-14 09:30 |
| C | Full name | Alex Morgan |
| D | [email protected] | |
| E | Phone number | Your test phone number |
| F | Service required | Kitchen renovation quote |
| G | Preferred timing | Within three months |
This example explains the exported layout using fictional details; you do not need to build it manually for the quick setup. If you customise the Sheet, match your own form's questions and their order. Keep the Lead ID: it helps you reconcile a missing enquiry without guessing from a name or email address.
Choose the correct spreadsheet tab
A spreadsheet can contain several tabs. Open the intended tab before copying its URL. The gid= part identifies that tab; the long value after /spreadsheets/d/ identifies the workbook.
LeadSavvy uses the tab identified by the URL when it can resolve it, otherwise the first tab is the fallback. A copied link to the wrong tab can make delivery look broken when the rows are simply somewhere else. Always check the tab that actually received your test.
Check access before using live enquiries
For this Sheet connection, use Share → General access → Anyone with the link → Editor. Viewer access will not allow LeadSavvy to add your leads.
Anyone holding that link can read and edit the Sheet, so share the link only with people who should have access. If your organisation requires restricted sharing, contact us before connecting. Google's sharing guide explains the permission levels.
2. Select the Facebook account, Page and form
Open Bridges and start a new bridge. Name it after the source and purpose, for example “Main Page — Kitchen quotes”. Keep Enabled switched on when you are ready for processing.
In the Facebook step, connect Facebook if needed, then choose the Facebook account, Facebook Page and Lead Form. The form matters: two ads using the same form share that source, while a newly duplicated form is a different selection.
If a Page or form is missing, check the account and the lead permissions for that business. Being able to see an ad does not prove that an integration has permission to retrieve its leads. Check the connection before rebuilding the spreadsheet.
3. Add the destination and check the field order
In Delivery, paste the full Google Sheet URL. For a blank Sheet, leave the default field order and let LeadSavvy set up the columns. If you want a custom layout, open Customize export fields to review the form-question list and its order. Arrange it to match the columns after Lead ID and Submission time, then save your bridge.
Think in column positions. If Email is the second form-answer field, its values should land in the second answer column, after the two fixed lead columns. A sheet header called Email cannot correct an export order that puts Phone there instead.
After you change the order, verify the next test row. Do not reorder incoming columns independently once real leads are flowing. Keep a note of the agreed layout so another team member does not accidentally move a column.
4. Test the complete journey
Use Meta's Lead Ads Testing Tool to select the Page and form and submit a sample with details you recognise. Use your own test contact information and a distinctive answer such as “Setup test — kitchen quote”. Follow the tool's current instructions rather than relying on an old screenshot.
Then check these four things:
- The source: the test belongs to the same Page and form selected on the bridge.
- The LeadSavvy record: the enquiry appears in the lead list with the expected answers.
- The spreadsheet: a row appears in the intended tab, with the Lead ID, submission time and each answer in the correct column.
- The alert: the intended recipient receives the configured email or mobile notification.
On the Bridges list, Processed Leads and Pending Export help distinguish collected leads from those waiting for Sheets delivery. Check any destination error message too. Initial processing can take a few minutes; measure the actual result rather than promising a particular number of seconds.
Finally, check a new live enquiry after launch. A successful test proves that particular test worked, not that every later Page, form or destination change is automatically covered.
5. Keep the intake separate from sales follow-up
A reliable export is only useful if someone acts on it. Choose who owns new enquiries and what they should do when an alert arrives. The LeadSavvy Pro iPhone app makes the first response convenient: get a notification, open the enquiry, read what the person asked and tap to call.
If your team prefers Sheets, keep the exported intake columns stable. Put your working notes in a separate follow-up tab keyed by Lead ID, or use LeadSavvy's contacts and pipeline. That makes it easier to change a view without changing the incoming layout.
When sorting a working table, sort the complete rows, including their notes. Sorting only the phone or name column can separate someone's details from the rest of their enquiry. Google's filter views let teammates use their own views without replacing everyone else's filter. For a more complete spreadsheet workflow, see our Google Sheets CRM guide.
Several forms or clients: avoid mixing incompatible rows
Create a bridge for each selected form you need to collect. Two forms can use a shared intake layout if their exported fields mean the same thing in the same order. If one form asks for a budget and another asks for a postcode in that position, use separate tabs or standardise the layouts before combining them.
For agencies, use clear bridge names and keep client access separate. Record who owns the Page connection and destination Sheet. An employee leaving or a client copying the workbook should prompt a connection test; the new copy has its own URL and access settings.
Facebook leads not syncing to Google Sheets: find the failure point
| What you see | What to check next |
|---|---|
| Ads Manager reports leads, but you cannot find the submission | Locate the original form submission and identify its Page, form, lead ID and time. A result count alone is not a record to export. |
| The form is missing in LeadSavvy | Selected Facebook account, Page access and lead permissions; whether this is a newly created or duplicated form. |
| The contact is in LeadSavvy, but the Sheet has no row | Destination URL, tab, write access, Pending Export and the bridge's Google Sheet error message. |
| Values appear under the wrong headings | The two fixed lead columns followed by your configured form-field order. Check the latest row after any change. |
| A phone number or identifier looks altered | Check its original value and the cell format. Treat phone numbers and IDs as text, not quantities. Formatting cannot recover a value already changed by a manual import. |
| The row arrived, but no one received an alert | Check the notification settings and recipient separately from Sheets delivery. See the notification guide. |
| An exported row was deleted and did not reappear | Export appends records and tracks successful exports; it is not a live mirror that restores deleted rows. Reconcile and recover the missing entry without blindly importing everything again. |
Compare one identifiable lead from source to destination. Disconnecting every account at once makes it harder to tell which change fixed the problem.
Native Meta delivery, Zapier or LeadSavvy Pro?
If Meta offers a direct Google Sheets option in your account, test it against the form and workflow you need. Check destination access, field layout and delivery; do not assume an option visible in someone else's video will be available in every account.
Zapier is useful when the enquiry must trigger several unrelated applications. Facebook Lead Ads is a Premium Zapier app, so ongoing use requires a paid plan. Successful actions such as a spreadsheet row and an email add to task usage. Our Zapier plan guide explains that distinction and includes a high-volume example.
LeadSavvy Pro is built for the Facebook lead workflow: collect the enquiry, deliver it to Sheets, notify the team and manage follow-up. You can keep your spreadsheet and also use the mobile app or pipeline as your business needs grow. Compare current lead-source limits and features on the pricing page.
Questions people ask before connecting
Can I send Facebook leads to Google Sheets without Zapier?
Yes. LeadSavvy Pro provides its own bridge to the Sheet destination. You do not need a Zap for that export. Any native option in your Meta account is another path to assess; compare the whole delivery and follow-up workflow.
Will it import all my old leads?
Do not assume it will retrieve your complete campaign history. Availability depends on the source and the retrieval workflow. Check which records reached LeadSavvy and the Sheet, and ask support about older missing submissions before relying on a backfill.
Can I send Google Sheets status changes back to Meta?
Incoming lead delivery and conversion feedback are separate jobs. LeadSavvy's CRM CAPI reports eligible deal-stage changes inside LeadSavvy, not edits to a spreadsheet cell. See our CRM conversion tracking guide for the Grow and Scale workflow.
Can ChatGPT help me work through the enquiries?
With the LeadSavvy Pro ChatGPT integration through early access, you can review the connected contacts and notes, discuss who to call next and update the relevant deal. That complements Sheets delivery; it does not mean ChatGPT is automatically reading this workbook or calling prospects for you.
Your first milestone is one correctly delivered enquiry. Get the source, access, tab and columns right, verify the alert, then check the next live lead. Start a LeadSavvy Pro trial or ask us about your setup.
